15 Years of Creative Expansion

Music has had an enormous influence on my life. One day, at the age of 9, I woke up wanting to learn how to play the saxophone. No one in my family had any music background, but a few months later, I started taking lessons. Over the course of 15 years, I studied saxophone, classical piano, modern singing, jazz piano, and music theory. In the later years of my music career, I also started composing and producing music of various genres.

Career Highlights (1997-2013)

• Composed and produced the soundtrack for the iOS & Android game “Kitty Scratch 2

• Started my own progressive metal band.

• Mastered 3 musical instruments (piano, saxophone, voice).

why did i quit?

I owe so much to music, as I believe it has been one of the key activities that allowed my mind to develop in both directions: creativity and rationality. Right after high school, I seriously considered pursuing music as my only career. First as a saxophonist and later on as a metal band lead & composer. This was all happening simultaneously as I was balancing between design and photography, and I ultimately decided to go with the latter.

Betrayed - Fade to Rain

“Betrayed” is the first single we published. I wrote the song when trying to imagine what it would feel like to be betrayed.

I took care of the whole writing process for each instrument, while each band member took care of arranging and improving his own part.

Awakening - Fade to Rain

I wrote “Awakening” to spread a message of hope to those struggling with mental health. The song is about someone that experienced a difficult period in his life, but was able to awake from the slumber and take control of his life.

Stand in the Dark - Fade to Rain

“Stand in the Dark” is the first song I wrote. Back then my grandmother was battling with ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that eventually leads to the loss of the ability to control muscles, including the ability to speak, eat, and breathe. During that difficult period, I try to imagine what that would feel like, and expressed that through music.

We never recorded the full version of this song, but here’s the acoustic version I recorded.

In the Rain - Fade to Rain

“In the Rain” tells the story of two lovers that live far away, but feel connected by the rain, as that reminds them of their first, magical meeting on a rainy evening.

This song was never fully recorded, but it lives on as a demo.
